Spiritual Awakening

On this day a piece of heaven was sent to me
Reaffirming my faith that in life
Second chances are given
That love can be found again
Even when you’re not looking
God has this way, his sense of humor I guess
Surprising you when you least expect
Answering your heart’s prayers
From your lips to his ears
From that silent wish an angel appears
The day before her only the coldness of loneliness existed
Is now a slowly fading memory into nothingness
A new picture is being painted filled with love
A touch of God, a touch of you and everything else she brings
Life begins anew just in time for spring.
