To Forget
Here I sit lost in thought
Quietly trying to recollect every memory we’ve ever shared
What if one day I awoke to find every memory of you gone?
Your smile would be forgotten
The way we kissed so tenderly,
Indeed your lips are a delicacy
I am only too happy to treat them as if they’re near extinction
You deserve that much from me, my best every time
How could I ever forget you?
To forget you would be to forget me
It would be as if our love never happened
So I will lock you away in a place in my heart
Where you will remain pure and untouched
