Things I Want for You

I want to slip inside of you quiet like night
Fill you up like sunshine filling a darkened room
I want to make you happy like a baby
When she first discovers how to walk
That feeling of complete freedom
I want to be the man who never lets you down
The one person in your life you can always depend on
There are things I may never know
Things I may never understand
About what it is to be a woman
But, my honest intent
Is to always have an open mind
And be willing to listen
Even without knowing the answers.
These are some of the things I want for you.
