Sanctuary of My Mind

Poetry and Prose will take you away, you'll be drifting between darkness and eternal moonlight...savage passion and reasonable love will sing their songs...flickers of happiness, embers of sadness...all you need to forget time is still ticking. (written by a reader)

A Walk in the Life (the randomness of it all)

A Walk in the Life (the randomness of it all)

A sense of the inevitable
Follows you around like a cloud
Big Brother in the sky
Keeping an eye on you
As you travel through your daily life
Thousands of eyes take your photograph
Each one a distorted picture
Unable to capture the essence of your true beauty
Disposable until the next great thing comes along
It can all be so fleeting, gone
Before a thought is complete
Laid to rest and you give birth to another one
It’s forgotten before you even turn the corner
The absurdity of it all can’t be lost by those of us
Who scrutinize the random occurrences of this existence
The ones who get to be happy when they seem so undeserving
The ones who have cried too many tears and have no reason why
So what do you make of this big budget movie?
With its constant plot twists and ever changing characters
Who’s pulling the strings behind the curtain?
When such randomness of life goes unchallenged.
