Sanctuary of My Mind

Poetry and Prose will take you away, you'll be drifting between darkness and eternal moonlight...savage passion and reasonable love will sing their songs...flickers of happiness, embers of sadness...all you need to forget time is still ticking. (written by a reader)

The Quiet

The quiet hasn’t dulled your memory
If anything, the silence makes your absence even more profound
Your scent lives in every corner of my house
Days spent without you now
Is merely an existence without truly living
Your voice I sometimes hear
I crave like mad to hear you say my name again
Your voice heavy with want
Now leaves me wanting for something
I never knew I needed
Now that I have felt what was once a mystery
Love revealed her face to me and it’s you
My body is malnourished for your touch
Only you can feed me what I most desire
One more night I would like to have
Knowing it would be our last
Every moment I would cherish
Every kiss would be savored
Every look, reflection of thought
Would serve as running conversation for me now
It can’t end like this
I refuse to believe something so deeply changing
Could just end for no good reason.
