Sands of Time
I stand still in the moment
Allowing the world to revolve around me
Feeding on its energy
Creativity is inspired again
Time traveling through the beauty of time
I see things I’ve only read about
What must it have been like to have been a friend of Shakespeare?
Listen to the poetry of Lord Byron?
How could anyone not be inspired to come in contact with Martin?
And have read the prose of James Baldwin
To have broken bread with Gandhi
What must it have been like for J. D. Salinger
To write a little story in his mind and fifty years later
Still gaining fans for his Catcher in the Rye
Many inspire to dream great things
Few have been touched with the ability to touch the masses
It’s a humble man who knows that he’s only a vessel
Carrying the message of a higher power
But what must it be like to be truly touched by the hands of God?
