Heart Hurts
And my heart hurts
Even though I know why,
I don’t know why
But I know enough to know that something is missing
Something taken for granted and since it's been gone
I feel unable to move forward
At a standstill I am walking in circles
Somehow hoping when this darkness lifts
You will be there as you once were
And my heart hurts and mere words,
From those who just don’t know won’t be of any comfort
Only you, can lift my spirits
Bring me to that place again
When my heart was at peace.

To wait
To wait an Hour is long
If Love be just beyond—
To wait Eternity is short
If Love rewards the end.
How sick to wait in any place but thine
I knew last night when someone tried to twine
Thinking perhaps that I looked tired or alone
Or breaking almost with unspoken pain
And I turned ducal
That right was thine
One port suffices for a Brig like mine
mine will be the tossing wild though the sea
Rather than a mooring unshared by thee.
Emily Dickinson
