I Can't
I can’t let you go
Though I haven’t really even tried
To do so would somehow mean
I have moved on without you in my life
The idea of that just wouldn’t be true
That I could somehow bury your love
Tie a nice bow around it and stick it in a box
Take a look at it, maybe once a year
Well, that just wouldn’t be enough
My love is such, that I’m a glutton for everything you
Even though I already know what I will find
I come back hoping each and every time
For a beautiful ending
The one where you say you love me
And I say the same
Just before the curtain goes down
The crowd roars its approval
Cue the beautiful music
We live happily ever after.

I don't know if you know this but I've a read a few of your pieces on a few blogs. I hope they've gotten your permission. Anyway, I'm a fan and look forward to reading you. I'm waiting for some new shorts..come on-lol.
*Everything You*
You fumble at my spirit
As players at the keys
Before they drop full music on;
You stun me by degrees,
Prepare my brittle substance
For your ethereal blow,
By fainter hammers, further heard,
Then nearer, then so slow
My breath takes time to straighten,
My brain to bubble cool,
for your imperial thunderbolts
That scalp my naked soul.
Emily Dickinson
