A chance given
Is a person remembered forever
The impact of an unselfish act
Makes you reach inside to find out who you are
To find that person living beneath unfulfilled dreams
Now, you not only want to be better for yourself
The mantle of responsibility
Makes you walk that much taller
Your head held just a little bit higher
The flower that once slept in darkness
Has been illuminated with confidence
All because someone took a chance on you
A chance given will never be forgotten
